A couple of new breakfast places have opened recently in our neck of the woods. This weekend we tried Clarie’s on Cedros in Solana Beach (near the train station). The atmosphere is nice – its popular with dog owners because of its outdoor seating area. The office of the architecture firm that designed the building is next door and its nice too. I had the Wild Mushroom and Roasted Tomato Omelet, which was very good. My wife tried the Clairecakes (pancakes) which were so-so. The pancakes at Naked Cafe are much better. Naked Cafe recently opened in Encinitas on El Camino Real, next to Radio Shack- they are also in Solana Beach and Carlsbad Village.
