I wondered how the insulation was going to be held in place for the raised floor.

It turns out the solution is simple, you may either call it crude or elegant. A net is laid on top of the raised floor and stapled in place. Then the insulation is stuffed into the net. Eventually plywood sheets will be stapled on top of the insulation to provide the floor.
