Nokogiriyama Day Trip

While we’re in this stay-at-home period, I’m catching up on my backlog of photos. A few years ago, we took a day trip from Tokyo to Nokogiriyama (鋸山) in the Boso Peninsula, across Tokyo Bay. We took the train to Yokosuka and then caught the ferry to Kanaya. From the port, we hiked up Nokogiriyama aka Sawtooth Mountain. The sawtooth profile of the mountain comes from serving as a quarry to Tokyo (Edo) during the Edo Period (1603-1868).
