We took a tour of tobacco heiress Doris Duke’s estate, Shangri La, run by the Honolulu Academy of Arts. Its an odd mixture of Western, Hawaiian lanai and Islamic styles. Some nice spaces but some spaces seem out of place and lacks the serenity of a Moroccan home.
