Faroe Islands – Day 3 (Villingardalsfjall – Vidoy)

On the third day, we decided to drive to the furthest point possible. We passed through a couple of sub-sea tunnels and bridges to reach the village of Viðareiðion on the island of Vidoy. There we hiked up the mountain of Villingardalsfjall. At the trailhead, we paid the 200 DDK per person hiking fee to a man standing guard. The trail’s marked by blue plastic poles and is a bit steep. We didn’t make it to the peak but still enjoyed the panoramic view of the 5 neighboring islands.

We return to Torshavn for dinner and tried to get a seat at Etika Sushi, but they were fully booked. Fortunately, they sold bento boxes and took them back to the hotel.
