One of the nicest spots in Mammoth is Hot Creek.  After a day of skiing, there is nothing better than soaking in a natural hot spring (onsen) surrounded by snow cap mountains. Hot Creek is a geothermal portion of a cold stream. Unfortunately, Hot Creek was closed due to increased geysering.

It was a nice hike though…over the west mountains was the sun and over the east mountain was a near full-moon.
