New Year’s Sale in Nagoya

We checked out the New Year’s sales at Nagoya Station on the day after New Years. There were lots of people carrying “fukubukuro” (lucky bags). These are bags (in some case suitcases) that a store or brands (in case of department stores) filled with goods sold at a substantial discount. Many times the contents are a mystery and later traded on online auction sites.
