We’ve been enjoying the hot springs at Zao Onsen (蔵王温泉) and a day trip to Yamadera. The next day, the top of Mt. Zao cleared up and we made our way up the mountain and spent the day exploring the mountain. I’ve been to Zao Onsen several times for skiing but never outside of the ski season – we quite enjoyed it.
