Horyu-ji Day Trip

It’s been many years since we last visited Horyū-ji (法隆寺), a Buddhist temple outside Nara built in 607 AD. The temple features the world’s oldest wooden structures. Because it’s located outside central Nara, it avoids the throngs of tourists and remains pleasantly peaceful.

On our way back to Kyoto, we stopped in central Nara for a late lunch at Yukitei (ゆき亭)
