Pursuing Wabi

In spring of last year, we spent a few pleasant weeks in Kyoto. We rented a place in Gion Shijo, within walking distance of hundreds of restaurants and coffee shops. It was a great place to work remotely and enjoy excellent food. Tourist crowds were returning but had not yet reached the intense “revenge travel” levels we would experience later in the fall.
