Where’s the roof?

It rained significantly in San Diego for the first time in over a year. With all the oil buildup on the roads, there were several hundred car accidents. On the positive side, the air is a lot cleaner, our new roof didn’t leak, and our pond had several inches of water. This area of the roof is designed to pool water for a roof garden:

We’ve walked a couple of neighbors through the house and the builder has done the same. Most are perplexed, it breaks their expectations of what a house is suppose to be. The house is certainly unconventional. A common comment is – “When is the roof going up over the front entrance?”

The builder is getting reading for a Monday inspection of the rough plumbing and electrical. This will open the door to start drywalling. It’ll be a boost to see the interior finishes go in.
