One unexpected surprise with the new house is the shower. When I’m taking a shower, the neighborhood trees are perfectly framed through the windows. It nice to see the trees blowing in the wind, unfortunately I find myself taking longer showers. If I were an inch taller or shorter, the view wouldn’t be as nice – it seems designed for me.  Bringing even a small bit of the outdoors indoors makes the environment much more pleasant.

One nice aspect of our neighborhood is that there are a lot of bird singing. On the other hand, you have to deal with the after-effects – especially on a black house and a house with big windows…
