Ugh, String Algae

The end of June gloom brought all day sunshine and along with it string algae growth in the pond. This stringy stuff grows fast and I make the mistake of ripping the algae out – which causes the algae spores to detach and encourages future growth.  I tried a product, Interpet Pond Balance, that claims to cut nutrients only required by string algae thus safe for the plants and fish.  It seems to be working and hopefully I’ll reclaim my weekends and nights…
