Shimbashi Izakaya, Del Mar

We checked out Shimbashi Izakaya in Del Mar Plaza on Thanksgiving – I’m not a big fan of turkey, although I do enjoy it infrequently. However, my wife has stronger feelings – she believes no matter what you do, turkey is tasteless and the gravy just makes it worse; not to mentions that stuffing looks and tastes like something put together from the garbage disposer.

The food at Shimbashi was good, we tried the wagyu beef tataki, oysters, gyoza, and the dry curry. I’m sure we’ll go there again.
