Faroe Islands – Day 6 (Tjørnuvík)

On our final night in Gjógv, my wife woke me up at 2am – “you gotta see this”. Stepping outside, the sky was filled with northern lights – simply amazing.

On our way back to Torshavn, we stopped at the small village of Tjørnuvík. From Tjørnuvík, there’s a hike to Saksun. Knowing we didn’t have the energy to hike to Saksun and back, we settled for hiking part of the trail. The hike features a beautiful view of Risin & Kellingin sea stacks.

Back in Torshavn, we had dinner at Katrina Christiansen. Its has high ratings but the food wasn’t memorable. Looking forward to next night’s dinner at ROKS, a sister restaurant of the famous KOKS (which was on hiatus in Greenland while they build a new home).
