Faroe Islands – Day 7/8 (Kirkjubøur)

The last full day on the Faroe Islands was wet, but we decided to hike to the village of Kirkjubøur. The hike starts in Torshavn and goes over a very long hill. On a normal day, it’s an easy hike; however, on that day, we encountered very strong winds that nearly knocked us off our feet several times, along with driving rain. We made it to Kirkjubøur, and a friendly local volunteered to give us a ride back to Torshavn while we waited for the bus.

For dinner, we went to Roks, a restaurant specializing in local seafood. The snow crab dish was absolutely delicious.

The next day, we grabbed some pastries from a local bakery before heading to the airport. Once we arrived in Copenhagen, we made our way to the Central Station and our hotel. I learned that on the metro, the cars marked with a bike logo have no stairs, while the others do have stairs, which can be inconvenient when carrying luggage.
