We spent the last few days in Honolulu. Its a lot cooler and much more pleasant than when we were here in July. If you’re in Hawaii, you can’t resist having a plate lunch. We like Kakao’ka Kitchen, they have good plate lunches as well as excellent sandwiches served on Taro bread.

We had dinner at the highly regarded Chef Mavro and found it disappointing. The food was good, but for the price the expectation is much higher. Save a couple of hundred dollars by having a plate lunch instead.

I’m a fan of Honolulu Coffee. Like Peet’s Coffee, they still take care in pulling and pouring the shots. Their scones are also better than what you get at Starbucks.

Came across this house under construction along Diamond Head, it looks like it’ll be spectacular.
