We took a day hike from the base of the Sunshine Ski Resort to Healy Pass on the Healy Creek Trail.  It wasn’t our original plan, but once we started walking we decided to keep going on this trail (look those hikers are walking that way, shouldn’t we go that way?…).

The trail is mostly forest (lots of moss – felt like we were walking through the forest in Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke) until you climb up to an open subalpine meadow.  Once we reach the meadow, it started snowing and decided to head back.  Its a pleasant hike, especially if you like walking through a lush forest with the sound of running water as background music.
