Banff Springs Hotel

While in Banff we stayed at the Banff Springs Hotel. Its a huge hotel that looks like a castle and supposedly haunted – although we didn’t experience anything unusual. From the room, we had a nice view of Bow Valley. However, like any old hotel, the windows are small and the pipes noisy – if your neighbor is taking a shower at 5am, you’ll hear it loud and clear.

The hotel’s weekend brunch is popular. We tried to get a reservation, but is was fully booked. For no specific reason, we always ended up going out to eat in town and never at at the hotel.

From the hotel, which is on the outskirts of the Banff town, there is a nice walk to central Banff along the Bow River.
