I’m always amazed at the pains a Japanese salaryman will go to get to work. This Japanese commercial reminds me of the salarymen in Kobe who walked several hours to get to work after the Kansai earthquake or the frequent image on the news of the people attempting to get to work in the middle of a typhoon with their umbrellas snapping.
I’m not that dedicated, if there’s a major accident on the freeway, I simply send an e-mail saying I’m working from home today and most of my co-workers will do the same. Why spend an extra hour in traffic when you can avoid the frustration and be more productive at the same time.
