Kyoto (part 3) – Kenninji

To end our day in Kyoto, we visited Kenninji, a zen temple located in the Gion area. Its courtyard garden was recently done by a landscape artist who is still very much active. It was nice to just sit on the tatami mats and rest my injured knee in this “amazing space”…I’m starting to sound like my builder.

We also stopped by the Kiyomizu Temple area to look at noren door curtains and hanings for our house.
