Been enjoying “Baian the Assasin” TV series from NetFlix.  This TV series from the early 90’s stars Ken Watanabe (Last Samurai, Letters from Iwo Jima, Tampopo) and based on the novel by Shoutaro Ikenami.  Of interest is that during this period Ken Watanabe was battling leukemia.  One aspect I enjoyed is the frequent appearance of Nezu Shrine.  Don’t expect a lot of action, its a relatively slow moving TV series.

Unfortunately, the movie version of the Baian story that stars Ken Ogata, who passed away this week is not available on NetFlix.
