The good thing about Whistler is that its the only ski resort in North America with decent Asian food, due to its proximity to Vancouver (30% Asian) and large number of visitors from Hong Kong, Korea, and Japan. At other ski resorts, we avoid Asian food unless we’re suffering a severe case of rice deprivation syndrome.

Visitors are way down at Whistler this year due to the uncertainly caused by the Olympics – is the mountain open, are hotels available, are the roads open, etc. Restaurants were empty (except for Sushi Sachi) and short lift lines on the slopes:
